The truth is, no one wants to become "healthy" just for the sake of being healthy.  Focusing on our health and wellness is a reflection of our values, and extension of our identities, an affirmation of our priorities and expression of our lifestyle.  When we're empowered with right knowledge, skills and tools we make better, more informed choices - choices, and take aligned action that support the vision of the person we are becoming, living to our greatest potential and achieving success on our own terms.

I've worked with coaches my entire life - life-coaches, business coaches and health coaches. I've seen the power of coaching to help make my dreams a reality.

Coaching helped me get clarity and take real action at the times when I felt the most confused, frustrated, or overwhelmed. Coaching has helped me navigate big transitions in my life and come through my greatest health crisis.

I also know that setting big goals and making lasting changes can be scary, confusing and overwhelming.

Trying to take action on things in a piecemeal manner, or worse, alone, can make things much harder, wasting precious time, energy, and money. Your confidence suffers and you quickly lose momentum. At worst, you give up completely and say "well that's just how I am" or "I can't change".

But it becomes waaaay easier when you have the right plan (YOUR PLAN), guidance and support, feedback that brings insights, and the right tools to help us get past the old behaviors and beliefs that don't serve.

We need "fresh eyes" to help us see and navigate our blind spots and get creative in doing things differently to see different results.

8. WE DON’T HAVE THE SKILLS, capacities and RESOURCES NEEDED TO SUCCEED. iNFORMATION IS NOT ENOUGH. we need the right mindset and to master the practices, skills and daily habits to really move the needle. what does your future self need?

6. WE're NOT STRATEGIC. TOO much, too soon, haphazard and halfhearted, DOING THE SAME THING AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS (AND GOING QUIETLY INSANE). having a clear roadmap is the fastest way to reach your goals. 

5. we give up to soon. WE DON’T HAVE A GROWTH MINDSET. learn to REFRAMe challenges, SETBACKS AND even FAILURES to learning experiences. gather the data, get curious, be WILLING TO EXPERIMENT, LEARN, FAIL FORWARD, REFINE, AND REPEAT until you master and you'll become unstoppable. 

10. WE RELY ON WILLPOWER ALONE. IT’S A FINITE RESOURCE. BECOMING INTERNALLY MOTIVATED HELPS US STAY THE COURSE.  motivation happens in context - of your life's bigger why, your vision, your goals.  good news is taking action builds momentum and momentum is motivating. it's an upward spiral - ride the wave.
